Hi Colleen. I too found the family in the 1860 1870 Johnson Co Census.
The only thing I could find in Cass County was in the 1885 Census for Pymosa Township. David was found living with Henry M on Sect 11 NE NE 26 M M farm b Johnson co, his wife Mary T 20 Keeping house b Johnson parents Foreign born.
Children Frederick W 3 b Shelby co parents native born, Jessie E p b Shelby co "

", and David 69 m m b PA parents native.
I looked in the death records and could not find him there, nor in the Obituary file. Do u know where he died? and when?
