According to our Cemetery Books, Charles W Lair and his daughter are buried in Griswold Cemetery
Charles b 7 Jan 1811, d 8 May 1902. His daughter Leota 1899, died 1927.
I checked the Exira Census for 1870, and James P 31, Harriet 21, and James W all b IL. James a dry goods Merchant, retail.
I checked again in 1900, and 1910, and they are still there. He was b 1838, had 4 children by his second wife Nancy J.
We did not find them in Griswold, so I would imagine they were buried in Exira
In RootsWeb World Connect Project, I found James Pleasant "Plez" Lair listed b 11 sep 1838 Macoupin Co Il d 24 May 1920 in Exira audubon co IA. Military private in the 122nd Musicians. Occup Farmer 1860 Macoupin Il

Marriage 2, Harriet Rudge b 1846 Macoupin co IL
married 10 Oct 1867 Hancock co IL(this is strange, because I found him in 1870 Census for Exira 31 years old, Harriet 21, and James 1)
children James Washington Lair b 24 nov 1868 Macoupin co Il
2. Charles Washington Lair b 7 Jan 1871 Macoupin co IL
Marriage 3 Nancy Jane Tongate b 16 apr 1850 Scottville, Macoupin co IL

This has him listed in Macoupin co Il in 1900-1920 Census (strange again if he died in Exira in 1920!!)
