Retired Griswold Banker Dies
GRISWOLD. - Edward T. Wolf, 75, retired Griswold banker, died at his home in Griswold Saturday night.
The son of Frank G. and Anna Novoty Wolf, he was born Nov. 4, 1904, in Clarkson, Neb. and was graduated from Clarkson High School in 1923, he moved to to Hubbard, Neb., where he became associated in the banking business and moved to Columbus, Neb., in 1937. Mr. Wolf moved to Griswold in 1943, continuing in banking and insurance business. He was a member of the board of directors of the Griswold State Bank and retired two years ago.
Mr. Wolf was a member of the Griswold Catholic Church, former member of the Lions Club, and former Chamber of Commerce member. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was married to Alice Hartnett June 19, 1929, at Hubbard, Neb.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Galen Purdue of Omaha and Mrs. Nick Jacobs of St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Ray of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Robert Barnes of North Platte, Neb.; and 17 grandchildren.
Preceding his death were his parents; a sister, Anna; and a brother, Frank.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with Father Edward Kelly officiating.
Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery in Griswold, a Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Griswold.
