Marie C. Andersen, 101, Anita

Marie C. Andersen, 101, of Anita died Wednesday, March 12, at Colonial Manor in Anita.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 17, at the Hockenberry Funeral Home in Anita. Interment was in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn.

Marie Christine Andersen was born May 27, 1906, in Elk Horn, the daughter of Jacob and Lizzie Jensen Jorgensen.

She was married March 3, 1927, to Peter Andersen. They farmed the home place at Elk Horn until moving to her parents' farm near Elk Horn where they farmed until moving to Anita in 1936. They were charter members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Anita. She attended the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Adair.

Survivors include here son, Everett Andersen of Stuart; her daughter, Marilyn Green of Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Jorgensen.
