Deaths from Scarlet Fever

The little twelve year old daughter of John Purdy from Cumberland is dead from an attack of scarlet fever, which has made a sad havoc in that home. A week ago the mother died of the disease and at that time two children were also lying ill with the fever. The father and one child are all that are left of the family.
