Harold Brix, 55, Dies Suddenly Early Today

Harold Brix, 55, was found dead in bed this morning at his home, 401 Elm street. He had died in his sleep about 3 o’clock as the result of a heart attack.

The son of Fred and Eva Brix, he was born in Council Bluffs July 24, 1901 and the Family moved to a farm near Atlantic when he was two years old. After farming a number of years, he worked for the Atlantic Building Supply company 14 years and had been employed with the Green Bay Lumber company the last two years. He was married Dec. 29, 1926, to Stella Grulke at Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, of which he was a member.

Surviving are the widow, two sons, Donald and Kenneth Brix of Atlantic; his mother, Mrs. Eva Brix of Atlantic; two brothers, Eldon Brix of Glendale, Calif., and Ralph Brix of Walnut; a sister Mrs. Edna Steffens of Los Angeles and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, the Rev. John F. Schortinghuis officiating. The remains will be taken from the Roland funeral home to the church Friday morning and interment will be in the Atlantic cemetery.
