GRISWOLD, Ia. Aug. 28—E. A. The two men were on their way home from Council Bluffs and Omaha where they had gone yesterday noon.

It is not known just how the accident happened, as Boiler has been unconscious most of the time. The men were seen going through Carson at a fast rate of speed. The automobile was found turned over and resting across Doop’s breast, which was crushed. He lived only fifteen minutes after he was found. Boiler, who was driving the care, was badly smashed and it is thought he is injured internally. Both men were taken to Griswold.

Doop has lived at Griswold for about fifteen years and has been a painter by trade. He leaves a wife and three children. The children are Russell, 17 years old, employed at the Griswold Rock Island depot; Roy, 15 years old, and Myrle, 12 years old.

Boiler is the son of the late Jan Boiler, president of the Griswold National bank. He was driving and remained in the car as it turned completely over. He was attempting to pass the car of Francis Lembke and it is believed that a rear wheel skidded in the dust.
