Jerry Shey, 25, Dies Tuesday in Omaha

Jerry W. Shey 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Howard Shey, 504 Maple, died Tuesday morning in Omaha. Neb.

Mr. Shey was born in Omaha Feb. 27, 1948, the son of J. Howard and Lucille Bintner Shey and graduated from the Anita High School in 1966. He was graduated from Creighton University in Omaha in 1970 and had been active as an agriculture extension director in the Volunteer Peace Corps in Ethiopia. Most of his life was sent in Cass county and he was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Surviving are his parents, with whom he made his home; a brother, James Shey of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Joan) Pogue of Omaha; three nephews; and a number of aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at SS peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Msgr. Bart Kane officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Catholic Cemetery.

A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Roland Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed at all times.
