January 28, 1929OSCAR STORMER DIES LAST EVE
Aged Local Man Had Resided in Cass County More Than Half Century.
Oscar Stormer, 304 East Sixth street, died last evening at the family home at 7:30. He has been in failing health some time, death resulting from complications. Mr. Stormer was 84 years old.
He was born Oct. 19, 1844, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stomer. He was married to Mary Ellen Wright Nov. 30, 1876, and following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Stormer lived on a farm eleven and one-half miles southeast of Atlantic. Twelve years ago they moved to Atlantic to make their home. Mrs. Stormer died July 27, 1926. Surviving are nine children, fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two brothers. A daughter, Mrs. May Schultz died in 1918 and two other children died in infancy.
The Children.
The surviving children are John Stormer of Atlantic, Mrs. Will Smith of Atlantic, Henry Stormer of Prescott, Myron Stormer of Atlantic, Ed Stomer of Clarinda, Mrs. Nellie Stone of Lewis, Horace Stomer who lives on the home place southeast of here and Walter and Chester Stomer of this city. The brothers are Myron Stormer of Council Bluffs and Charles Stormer who lives in Nevada.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon. Definite arrangements will be announced.
