Funeral services for Martha Maxine “Mickey” Grinstead, 62 of Casper, Wyo., formerly of Atlantic, were held Sept. 4 at the Memorial Chapel in Casper, Wyo. Burial was in the Casper Cemetery.
Mrs. Grinstead, the former Martha Butler, died Friday, Aug. 30, at the Casper, Wyo. Hospital.
The daughter of Guy and Daisy Walker Butler, she was born July 28, 1923, in Audubon County. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1941, taught rural school for one year and then worked for Western Union in Omaha.
On Sept. 7, 1945, she married Logan Grinstead in Omaha and the lived in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming and Illinois while he was employed by Mobil Oil. Mrs. Grinstead was employed by Sears for many years, including the last nine after returning to Casper following the death of her husband.
Mrs. Grinstead was a member of the Casper Methodist Church and served on the church board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and grandparents.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Donna Lee) Kindler of Idaho Falls, Idaho; a son, Michael Grinstead of Douglas, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Marti, Mark and Emily Kindler, Darcy and Christopher Grinstead; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Beverly) Moller of Omaha and Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Nolte of Atlantic; two brothers, Kenneth Butler and Bernard Butler of Atlantic; uncles; aunts; nieces; and nephews.
Relatives attending services from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moller and Rick of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Don Nolte, Keith Nolte and Mrs. Royce Sarsfield, all of Atlantic.
