Wiota, Ia., July 15–(Special)

Mrs. Katherine McMahon, resident of Cass county for forty-five years, died yesterday afternoon at 4:20 at the family home. Death resulted from complications from which she had been suffering for some weeks.

Mrs. McMahon was born May 8, 1853, in Blanchardsville, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ryan, and was married at Massena to John McMahon, Oct. 4, 1898. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. McMahon lived on a farm two and one-half miles south of Wiota until moving to this town in 1912.

Surviving are the husband and four stepchildren, three step-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. The stepchildren are Miss Mary McMahon, at home, and Joe, Martin and Walter McMahon, all of Wiota, and the step-grandchildren are Margaret, Frances and Paul McMahon.

Funeral services will be held at the Wiota Catholic church tomorrow morning at 9:30, with the Rev. M. J. O’Connor celebrating the solemn requiem high mass, assisted by the Rev. C. Lalley of Des Moines and the Rev. P. N. McDermott of Atlantic. Burial will be in the Atlantic Catholic cemetery.
