Death of Mrs. Collins

Mrs. John Collins died this afternoon – at ten minutes before two o’clock, at the age of seventy years. The cause of her death was old age and general breaking down of the life forces. She is the mother of Lit Collins, Mrs. Fred Worthing and Mrs. Fred Kerrick. No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral service.

Mrs Collin’s Death.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary J. Collins, whose death was announced yesterday, is appointed for Sunday morning at 10 o’clock, at the Methodist church in this city The interment will be made at the Marne cemetery.

Mrs. Collins was born in Campbell county, Virginia, on June 6th. 1830. She was married to the late Jas. A. Collins on October 14th 1854. They removed to Indiana in 1855 and came to this county in 1863 where the family has since resided. Nine children were born to Mrs. Collins, seven of whom are now living, as follows: Mrs. W. B. Elliott, Henry A. Collins, Liston, Walter, James F., and Mrs. Fred Worthing and Mrs. Fred Kerrick. For some time past Mrs. Collins has been making her home with her children in this city, and was at the home of Mrs. Worthing when death called. She was a good woman and will be sincerely mourned by scores who knew her.
