ATLANTIC LADY PASSES AWAY

Mrs. J. W. Lamb, Resident of This County For Forty-three Years, Dies at Her Home. --Funeral To Be Held on Sunday.

Mrs. Margaret J. Lamb, a resident of Cass county for forty-three years and one of the best known and most respected ladies within the confines of the county, died at 5:30 last evening at her home, 706 Hazel street. Death was the result of pernicious anaemia [anemia] from which she had suffered for a long time, and for the relief of which everything was done which could be done, but to no avail.

Deceased was born in Ohio on the 15th of March 1852, and was married there in 1875 to J. W. Lamb, who died in this city in 1913. They came to this county directly after their marriage and for thirty-six years lived north of the city. Seven years ago they removed to Atlantic and since her husband’s death Mrs. Lamb had continued to make her home in the house where she died. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. G. M. Triplett of Storm Lake; Mrs. W. J. Tobias of Anita; Mrs. Robert A. Berry of Atlantic; J. A. Lamb of Atlantic; Mrs. Frank Joyce of Marne. One daughter died in infancy. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren and three sisters.

The funeral services are to be held at three o’clock tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at the M. E. church, the Rev. Simpson officiating, and the interment being made in the Atlantic cemetery.
