RITES SUNDAY FOR ELLA JOHNSON, 77

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon for Miss Ella Johnson, 77, of Marne, a resident of Cass county for the past 60 years, who passed away at the Atlantic hospital at 8:45 p.m. Friday. She has been a patient at the hospital since last August.

Miss Johnson was born Jan. 14, 1862, in India [Indiana], had resided in Cass county since girlhood. She was the last of a family of 10 children. A number of nephews and nieces survive.

Miss Johnson was affiliated with the Marne Methodist church, where the funeral will be held Sunday. The Rev. C. J. Henderson will officiate and burial will be in the Brighton cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Roland, Peacock and Baxter funeral home in Atlantic until 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
