ABRAYAM S. BYRD IS DEAD

PASSED AWAY AT HOME NEAR TOWN TODAY.

Death Very Sudden—Was Up and Ate His Breakfast as Usual.

Abraham S. Byrd died very suddenly at his home, a short distance northwest of the city, at 10:30 this forenoon.

The Telegraph has not yet been reliably informed as to the cause of Mr. Byrd s death but it is supposed it was heart trouble, complicated with ills incident to extreme old age.

Mr. Byrd was born in Crawford county, Indiana, January 1, 1825. He was married May 30, 1864 to Miss Emeline Tabor of Washington county, Indiana. Five children were born to this union, three of whom with their mother survive the departed. The living children are two sons, George and J. E. and one daughter Mrs. Taylor.

The funeral will be held from the farm residence at 2:30 next Sunday afternoon. Deceased was an adherent of the Baptist faith and a clergyman of that denomination will probably conduct the funeral.
