ONE TIME LOCAL MAN DIES TODAY

J. B. Fudge Dies at Akron Colo. Body Is to Be Brought Here.

Word was received here today of the death of J. B. Fudge, 79, former local resident, at Akron, Colo., after and illness of several weeks. He was taken ill several weeks ago with flu which later developed into pneumonia and a paralytic stroke a few days ago hastened the end.

Mr. Fudge was born in Washington county, Va., the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fudge. He came to Cass county in Sept., 1870, and lived here until thirty years ago, when he moved to Dexter. About fifteen years ago the family moved to Akron where he died.

Widow Survives.

He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Moshell and Mrs. John Lodwig of Akron and Mrs. Irvin Percy of Stuart, Ia., and one son, Ira, of Des Moines. Four brothers and three sisters also survive. The brothers are J. O. Fudge of this city, D. E. Fudge of Madrid, Neb., Orrie Fudge of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and M. S. Fudge of Harlan. The sisters are Mrs. A. T. Smith and Mrs. A. W. Sarsfield of Atlantic and Mrs. Eliza McBride of Monroe, Ia.

The remains will be brought here tomorrow and funeral services will be held here at 10 o’clock Friday morning.
