SUDDEN DEATH NEAR BUCK CREEK CHURCH

Dr. Findley relates the particulars of the sudden death of Miss Martha Fox at about 2 P. M. yesterday as follows: He had arrived at her home about noon and vaccinated a member of the family and had given Miss Fox some treatment for a slight congestion of the lungs. Shortly afterwards she commenced complaining of her head and feeling bad generally. In the meantime Mrs. Sarah Harris, a sister of Miss Fox, with whom she was living, had persuaded the Doctor to stay for dinner. As they were about to be seated at the table, Miss Fox, a very fleshy lady, commenced crying and complaining of numbness in her limbs. Finally she became unconscious and in a short time was dead of apoplexy. She was about 35 years of age and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was related to the Harris families on Buck Creek, and had a wide circle of friends.
