Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Acker, 76, long time resident of Atlantic and vicinity, passed away at her home at the Capadele apartment yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock. Mrs. Acker had attended the Eastern Star school of instruction earlier in the afternoon and on her way home, she complained of feeling ill. After reaching her apartment, she called her doctor and passed away soon after his arrival.

Mrs. Acker was born October 2, 1869, in Decatur county, Ill., the daughter of William and Mary Noyer. She came to Iowa when a small girl and lived in Hardin county, later coming to Cass county. She was married to Thaddeus Wakefield Acker, Dec. 29, 1886, and had lived around Atlantic all her married life. Mr. Acker passed away May 14, 1933. She lived in Atlantic the last ten years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star and the White Shrine.

She leaves one daughter. Mrs. Abbie Kitchen of Des Moines; five sons, Arleigh of Wiota, Clifton of Griswold, LeRoy of Massena, Clayton and Clarence of Atlantic; one brother, John Noyer, of Portland, Ore., and a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Soper of Des Moines; seventeen grand children and three great grandchildren. Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death: Mrs. Emma Wissler, Mrs. Luella Cleeland, Frank, Samuel and Joseph Noyer.

Memorial services will be at 1 p. m. Monday at the Roland, Peacock & Baxter funeral home with Rev. H. G. Darling of the Church of Christ officiating, and interment will be in the Atlantic cemetery. There will be an Eastern Star service at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the service hour.

ATLANTIC—Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Roland Peacock and Baxter funeral home for Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Acker, 76, long-time resident of Atlantic and vicinity, who died Friday at her home here The Rev. H. G. Darling of the Church of Christ officiated with burial in the Atlantic cemetery.

Surviving is one doughter [daughter], Mrs. Abbie [;] Kitchen of Des Moines[;] five sons, Arleigh of Wiota, Clifto [Clifton] of Griswold, LeRoy of Massena, Clayton and Clarence of Atlantic; one brother, John Noyer of Portland, Ore., and a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Soper of Des Moines, 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
