ATLANTIC – Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at Roland Funeral Home for Leo Harris, 48. The farmer died in the basement of his home Tuesday of a self-inflicted gun wound, according to Sheriff Kenneth Jones.
The Rev. A. D. Steffenson of Atlantic and the Rev. J. M. Steffenson of Marne will officiate and burial will be in Atlantic Cemetery.
Harris was born on a farm northwest of Atlantic. He farmed until 1937, lived in Atlantic from then until 1939 when he and his family moved to their presnt [present] Pymosa Township farm. He was a member of Buck Creek Methodist Church.
Survivors include: widow, Marie, son, Jim Atlantic; daughter, Mrs. Jarine Highley of Atlantic; sister Mrs. C. E. Malone of Atlantic; and brother, Ira A. of Atlantic.
