Services Held for Mrs. Margaret Malone, Former Wiota Resident

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church in Atlantic for Mrs. Margaret E. Malone, 86. Msgr. Bart Kane officiated and burial was in the Atlantic Catholic cemetery.

Mrs. Malone, daughter of Martin and Mary Montague Ruane, was born in Wiota July 15, 1883, and passed away at the Cass County Memorial Hospital Saturday evening, where she had been hospitalized since Apr. 19. She had been in failing health two years.

She was married to Sylvester (Bay) Malone Feb. 18, 1914, and he preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1945. The Malones lived on a farm south of Wiota, and she had resided in Atlantic since 1951.

Surviving are a son, Richard of Atlantic; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Cox, Fremont Nebr. 7 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a son, F. Howard; a sister, Mary Jane Ruane and a brother, Frank.
