Charles E Lindeman 80 of Pocahontas, formerly of Cass Co, died Thursday at Fort Dodge.
The son of George and Martha Lindeman, he was born Nov 28, 1890, in Noble township and grew to manhood in Cass county. He was married to Doris Broderson Jan 2 1914 and they engaged in farming in Pocahontas co,later operating the Lindeman cafe for 25 years. he was also an auctioneer for more than 50 years in iowa, and southern Mn. After retiring to a farm a half mile north of Pocahontas, he built and operated the Ford Farm Supply Store.
surviving are his wife, Doris; two sons Aaron of Detroit, Mi., and Robert of Pocahontas; a grandson; a sister Eliza Joner of Coralville and two brothers, Cal Lindeman of Griswold, and lewis Lindeman of Atlantic.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Lindeman of Pocahontas, Ben and Robert Lindeman of Cumberland; three sisters, Mary McFadden of Cumberland, Rose Buckley of Vancouver BC; and Maud Marsh of Spencer.
