Mrs. M. N. (Agnes) Lambertsen

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Roland Funeral Home for Mrs. M. N. (AGNES) LAMBERTSEN, 82. Pastor E. W. Richter of Holy Cross Lutheran Church officiated.

Mrs. Gene Hackman accompanied Sidney Larsen as he sang “Going Down The Valley One by One” and “Rock of Ages.” Mr. and Mrs. George Miller and Mr. and Mrs. George Lund were in charge of the flowers.

Casket barriers were grandsons, JERRY, MICK and DENNIS HEATH, KENT, KEITH, and TERRY LAMBERTSEN. Interment was in Oakhill Cemetery, west of Brayton. Mrs. Lambertsen, daughter of HANS and CHRISTINA HANSEN FREDRIKSEN, was born at Shelby Nov. 16, 1891, and passed away Monday morning at the Atlantic Care Center, where she has resided since last May.

She was married to MARIUS N. (MIKE) LAMBERTSEN on Mar. 21, 1911 at Atlantic. They were privileged to note their 62nd wedding anniversary March 21, 1973. She lived in Shelby County and after her marriage, they farmed in Audubon and Cass counties, and moved to their present home on Cherry Street in Anita in 1957. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and was a charter member of the SOS Club, southwest of Anita. Mrs. Lambertsen also served as the News Telegraph’s carrier supervisor for Anita for over 15 years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, MRS,. HARVEY (MURIEL) JENSEN of Anita and MRS. EARL (ATHELEA) HEATH of Rapid City, Minn.; a son, VERNON of Atlantic; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, MRS. ANNA PETERSEN and MRS. AMANDA BOOSE, both of Elk Horn; a brother, VICTOR FREDRIKSEN of Audubon; also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, HENRY, ALFRED, and WILLIAM FREDRIKSEN; a grandson, LYNN LAMBERTSEN; a great grandson, MATTHEW HEATH, and a nephew, BILL LAMBERTSEN who was reared by the family.
