NIS LAMBERTSEN DIES WEDNESDAY SOUTH OF WIOTA

NIS PETER LAMBERTSEN, 81, a native of Denmark and long time resident of Cass county, died at 3:15 Wednesday afternoon at the farm home of his son, Morris Lambertsen, southeast of Wiota. Death resulted from complications of a paralytic stroke. He had been in failing health for some time.

Mr. Lambertsen was born in Denmark on Oct. 24, 1855. He grew to manhood in Denmark and was married there to Miss Anna Marie Bork.

In 1890 they came to the United States and located at Marne where they farmed for a long period of time.

Mr. Lambertsen had been a member of the Danish Lutheran church for many years.

Mrs. Lambertsen died Sept. 18, 1930.

Survivors include three sons, MORRIS LAMBERTSEN of Wiota, LOUIS LAMBERTSEN of Omaha and PETER LAMBERTSEN of Walnut; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grand children.

Short services will be held at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon here at the Roland, Peacock & Baxter funeral home. The main services are to be held at 2 o’clock at the Oakhill Danish Lutheran church when the Rev. Henrik Plambeck is to officiate. Burial will be in the Oakhill cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the hour of the funeral.
