RITES TODAY FOR ART CHRISTENSEN

Funeral services for ARTHUR (OTT) CHRISTENSEN, 60 year old Wiota area farmer, will be held Thursday afternoon (today) at 1:30 p. m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic. Rev. ALLEN E. HERMEIER will officiate and burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at Lewis. Roland Funeral Home of Atlantic is in charge of services.

Mr. Christensen, son of JENS C. and ANNA PETERSEN CHRISTENSEN, was born July 6, 1912 in Benton Township, and passed away suddenly Tuesday morning at his home. He had been in his usual health until stricken. Mr. Christensen had lived his entire life in the Atlantic and Wiota area and was married to VIOLA MILLER Mar. 23, 1940, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic, of which he was a member.

He is survived by his wife, a son, HOWARD of Wiota and a daughter, Mrs. LYNN (BECKY JO) STEPHENSON of Anita, two brothers, CLARENCE of Atlantic and WALTER of Wiota; a sister, Mrs. LEWIS CAMPBELL of Council Bluffs, also nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, ALFRED and sister, Mrs. LIZZIE PETERSEN.
