MISS GLADYS FUDGE WEDS INDIANOLAN

Marriage of Popular Atlantic Girl to Ernest E. Shaw of Indianola, Solemnized Sunday P. M. – Was College Romance

On Sunday afternoon, September 15, at four o’clock, at the home of the bride, occurred the marriage of Miss M. Gladys Fudge to Ernest E. Shaw of Indianola, Iowa. The only guests were the immediate relatives.

Before the ceremony, Miss Reba Fudge, accompanied by Stuart Shaw, sang “Because,” After the ring ceremony and during the congratulations Mrs. Ralph Durr, a sister of the bride, sand “I Love You Truly.” The vows were spoken before the groom’s father, the Rev. R. E. Shaw.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Fudge. She was graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1913 and later attended Simpson college, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. The bridegroom is the son of Reverend and Mrs. R. E. Shaw of Indianola, Iowa. He was graduated in 1915 from Simpson college, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fratenity [fraternity]. At present he is a Junior in the Medical School of the State University at Iowa City and a member of the Medical Enlisted Reserve Corps. The newly married couple left at 5:35 for Indianola where Mrs. Shaw will teach this year in the public schools.
