A FAMILY REUNION.

G. S. Acker, Wife and Children Together for First Time in a Good While.

G. S. Acker and wife of Grove tonwship [township], accompanied by their 11 children, who are now together for the first time in some years, were in the city yesterday (Sunday) and sat for a group picture at the Egbert gallery. After the sitting was finished the family went to the Park hotel were all took dinner. The party at the hotel numbered sixteen, the wives of the married sons and E. E. Harris, husband of the daughter, being present.

Of the children of Mr. and Mrs. Acker, Thad, living near this city, is the eldest, and Clarence, who is a student in the Atlantic Business College, is the youngest. There has never been a death in the family and if appearances are any indication there is not likely to be for some years to come for a finer looking crowd one would not see in many a long day’s travel.

The children are Thad W. Acker, Mrs. E. E. Harris, Court Acker and Clarence of this city. C. H. Acker of South Omaha, Harry M. Acker of Avoca, Jacob and Cal Acker of Oelwein; Ed Acker of New York and Walter of Pocatello, Idaho, Clell Acker of this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Acker are justly proud of their children and though the years have dealt with them as they deal with all of us, it is hard to believe when seeing them that he and his estimable wife are old enough to be the parents of such a family. The Democrat extends to Mr. and Mrs. Acker and their children its heartiest congratulations at this time and hopes that the new year and the years to come may contain for them a full realization of their fondest ambitions.
