I have a George M. Frank, my great grandfather, he was born in 1865 and died in 1938. He married Catherine Neu in 1890. Catherine was born in 1869 at Mendota, LaSalle County, IL, she died in 1958. Catherine's father was Peter Joseph Neu, her mother was Helena Weber.

George M. and Catherine (Neu) Frank had the following children:

William Neu, son of Peter Neu is Msgr. A. W. Behrens grandfather.

He and his family arrived in the USA when he was 4 years old (about 1868) and arrived at Mendota, Illinois. They farmed by Tyre Groove, then they moved to Dubuque, Iowa (Little Rome), then they moved to Carroll County, Iowa

As I understand it Peter Neu's brother John Neu was killed in some kind of gun accident.
