WHELAN, NUGENT

NUGENT, WHELAN

I would like information on a Richard or Michael WHELAN born about 1858. I found a Richard WHELAN dying 20 May 1932 and being buried in Lanesboro Cemetery, Jasper Twp, Carroll Co., Iowa. I have reason to believe he is a son of Elizabeth NUGENT and John WHELAN. Elizabeth was a sister to my 3-great grandfather, John NUGENT.

In the 1860 census, the first name was Michael, but in the 1870, 1880 and 1885 state census the first name was Richard.

Does anyone connect with the WHELAN family? Any information on this Richard WHELAN will be greatly appreciated.
