Manning -Funeral service for Douglas Fredrick Dammann of Wyoming will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug 2, 1999, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Mr. Dammann, 28, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle crash near Gillette, Wyo. Pastor Curt Dwyer will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Jeff Vinke, Bill Schoba, Dan McClelland, Mike Dammann, Scott Schoba and Larry Gordon. Burial will be in Manning Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Born March 20, 1971, at Manning, he was a son of Dale F. and Carolyn S. (Bear) Dammann. He was baptized April 18, 1971 and confirmed May 5, 1985, both at Zion Lutheran Church and he attended school in Manning. After graduating from Manning High School in 1989 he attended Southwest Community College in Creston, studying auto body repair. He and Karol Mills were married Dec. 28, 1990 in Manning. They moved to Des Moines, where Mr. Dammann worked in auto body repair. They returned to Manning in 1991 and Mr. Dammann worked for various businesses in the area. Mr. Dammann moved to Wyoming in February to work for Ganes Production. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and former member of the Manning Fire department. Mr. Dammann enjoyed hunting, his Harley Davidson motorcycle and restoring vehicles and motors. Survivors include two children: Kayla and Alex Dammann, of Manning; his mother, Carolyn Dammann, of Manning; his grandmother, Arla Dammann, of Manning; a sister, Sharon Honold, and her husband, Cory, and daughter, Bailey, of Wakefield, Neb.; and the mother of his children, Karol Dammann, of Manning. Mr. Dammann was preceded in death by his father, Dale Dammann, and grandparents William Dammann and Fred and Vera Bear.
