Mannning - Funeral rites for Lillian Belle Bobenmoyer, 87, of Gray, were held on Friday afternoon, Aug. 9, at 2:00 at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev. Edward A. Schaller of the Gray Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Mrs. Bobemoyer died on Tuesday evening, Aug. 6, at the Salem Home in Elk Horn following a year of ill health. Daughter of Charles and Lydia Skles Brent, she was born Nov. 19, 1881 at Manning and was baptized in the Manning Presbyterian Church. She attended local schools and graduated from Manning High School in 1900. She taught rural schools for six years near Manning and in Minnesota. On April 17, 1907, she was married to George Elmer Bobenmoyer at St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. They lived there a year and then moved to a farm eight miles south of Manning for ten years. The next fourteen years were spent in Hartington, Neb., and they returned to the same farm south of Manning. Twenty-three years ago they retired and moved into Gray. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Carl ( Beatrice) Magnuson in 1964; her parents, a brother, Edward I. Brent a half-brother, Archie Brent, both living in California and a half-sister, Mrs. Joe (Ida) Hill of Waterloo, Iowa. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Lyle of Manning and Merle, Lake View; a half-brother, Kenneth Brent, Los Angles; a half-sister, Mrs. Alice Harstad, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; three nephews and two nieces. Relatives attending from a distance were Mrs. Alice Harstad, Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harstad, Marion; Mr. and Mrs. George Rigler, Guthrie Center; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hill, Carl Magnuson, Waterloo; Mr. and Ms. James Magnuson, Cedar Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Magnuson, La Porte City; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bobenmoyer, Lake View; Mr. and Mrs. Will Bobenmoyer, Marion Bobenmoyer, Mr and Mrs. Vern Thomas, Maskell, Neb.; Ren Bobenmoyer, Jessie Dooley, Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Rhode, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Bobenmoyer, Hartington, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. James Sallach, Albion, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Tomer Headlee, Mrs. Harold Bobenmoyer, Plattsmouth, Neb.; Corene and Leslie Bobenmoyer, Elkhart, Ind.
