Gray- Lial L. Bobenmoyer, 74, of Gray, died Friday, July 2, in the Audubon County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the Gray United Methodist church with the Rev. Don Burket officiating. Burial was in the Manning cemetery. Active casket-bearers were Lee Chambers, Lyle David, Roy Gittins, Virgil Henriksen, George Weber and Julius Winther. Honorary bearers were Delmus Hacker, Charles King, Leon Schwab and Clarence Zinke. Mr. Bobenmoyer is surviving by his wife Irene, Gray; a son James, Ross, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a brother Merle (Jack) Bobenmoyer, Lake View. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Genevieve Magnuson. Mr. Bobenmoyer was born January 29, 1908, at Manning, a son of G. E. and Lillian Brent Bobenmoyer. At an early age he moved with his parents to Coleridge, Neb., where he gradated from high school in 1926. On February 20, 1934, he was married to Irene Plog at Omaha. They farmed in Shelby and Audubon counties and he operated a repair shop on his farm. They moved into Gray in 1972 and he worked at Lee's TV Repair in Audubon. He was baptized and joined the Gray United Methodist church in 1948. He was a member of the Gray Commercial Club.
