Manning – The funeral mass for Mrs. Frederick Blum, 34, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred heart Church, Manilla, by the Rev. C. L. Keleher. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Manilla. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manilla. The first rosary was Tuesday night.

Mrs. Blum, the former Coletta Theresa Schwery, was born April 21, 1932, at Panama, daughter of Alfred and Romana Goeser Schwery. At the age of 11 she moved with her parents to Defiance and attended school there, graduating in 1950 from St. Paul High School.

She married Frederick Blum Nov. 7, 1955, and they moved to a farm four miles northwest of Manilla and have lived there since. Mrs. Blum died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at her home.
Survivors include her husband; six children, Timothy, David, Joan, Andrew, Jean and Allen; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schwery of Manilla; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Melanie) Peterson of Paillion, Nebr., Mrs. Warren (Connie) Becker of Defiance, Aelred Schwery of Chicago, Mrs. John (Imelda) Laube of Fullerton, Calif., and Mel Schwery of Omaha.
