Manning – Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Weinbrandt, 73, of Manning were held at 2:30 pm Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with the Rev. Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial was in the Manning City Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning.

Mrs. Weinbrandt died Friday, June 3, at the Manning General Hospital.

Mrs. Weinbrandt, daughter of Gustav and Mary Karsten Vinke, was born March 22, 1904, near Manning. She was educated in rural schools near Manning. Her marriage to Max Weinbrandt took place September 15, 1925. They farmed in the Five-Mile House area between Westside and Manning until 1955, when they moved to Aspinwall. Mr. Weinbrandt died in 1961. Mrs. Weinbrandt moved to Terrace Apts. in Manning six years ago.

Mrs. Weinbrandt was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Manning, and also the church’s Ladies Aid.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Donald (Donna) Koch of Charter Oak, Mrs. James (Myra) Jensen of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Kenneth (Beverly) Hollander of Harlan, and a son-in-law, LeRoy Schagt of Ida Grove. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Henry Vinke of Manning and LeRoy Vinke of Carroll, and one sister, Mrs. Lena Schwiesow of Manning.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Schagt, and one brother Julian.
