Rosalia Anne "Sally" Heithoff, 93, of Manning, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home in Coon Rapids.

Mass of Christian burial was at 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning with the Rev. Robert Gralapp officiating.

Lector was Lori Heithoff

Eucharistic minister was Arlene Wanninger.

Mass services were Robert Tank and Ryan Meier.

Gift bearers were Chris Snow, Jeremy Snow and Brooke Heithoff.

Music was "How Great Thou Art", "On Eagle's Wings" and "Amazing Grace."

Vocalists were Sacred Heart Choir. Organist was Pat Heithoff.

Casket bearers were Leroy Irlbeck, Darrel Wiese, Dan Behrens, Chris Snow, Paul Heithoff, Nathan Heithoff, Virgil Rosonke, and Doug Wanninger.

Honorary casket bearers were Karen Huhn, Robyn Flathers, Lorri Thygesen, Lori Dentlingner, Tina Steffes and Earl Singsank.

Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manning.

Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, was in charge of arrangements.

Rosalia Anne "Sally", daughter of Joe and Rose (Sextro) Sporrer, was born on July 14, 1917, at Dedham.

She grew up on the family farm near Dedham and attended St. Joseph School. Sally then worked at home, helping her mother.

On Jan. 23, 1940, Sally married Ray Heithoff at St. Joseph Church in Dedham. They made their home in Ewoldt Township near Manning, and Sally was a homemaker.

On July 21, 1962, Ray died as a result of a tractor accident. Sally and her children then moved to Manning.

Sally loved baking, cooking, and playing cards. She was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling to 22 states and visiting with family and friends.

In 2005, Sally became a resident of Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home.

Sally is survived by her children Jane Snow of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Dean Heithoff and wife Lori of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; grandchildren Jeremy and Chris Snow and Paul, Brooke and Nathan Heithoff; sisters Arlene Kapserbauer of Coon Rapids and Mary Trecker of Carroll; brothers Joe Sporrer and wife Mary; Kay of Dedham and Harold Sporrer and wife Rita of Manning; sisters-in-law Elaine Sporrer of Templeton, Helene Heithoff of Manning and Helen Heithoff of Coon Rapids; brother-in-law Harold Heithoff of Carroll; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Norma in infancy in 1947; husband; grandchildren, Troy and Michael Snow in infancy; sisters, Alma Forks and Rose Lorraine Hacker, and brothers John, Leonard and Clarence Sporrer.
