Dennis "Denny" Lee Erb, 60, of Irwin died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Hospice House.

Funeral service was held this morning, Monday, May 12, at Irwin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Pals officiating.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Irwin.

Pauley Jones Funeral Home of Harlan was in charge of arrangements.

A son of Allyn C. and Thelma E. (Wezel) Erb, he was born Aug. 27, 1947, at Irwin.

Mr. Erb was a veteran of the Navy.

He worked for Puck Custom Enterprises.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Irwin; two children: Jason Erb and wife Chanie of Enid, Okla., and Jamie Erb, of Omaha, Neb.; a grandson, Bodey Erb, of Enid; three siblings: Sharon Monson and husband Richard of Harlan, Diana Barton and husband Bill of Omaha and Roger Erb and wife Carol of Harlan; his stepmother, Leona Erb, of Harlan; a stepsister, Linda Wildner, and her husband, Dennis, of Omaha; a stepbrother, Tom Ferry, and his wife, Cheryl, of Harlan; a sister-in-law, Myrna Gundel, and her husband, Bernie, of Fontanelle; and two brothers-in-law: Dan Huff of Lindsay, Calif., and Jim Werner of Marshalltown.

Mr. Erb was preceded in death by parents; a son, Nathan Erb; a brother, Gary Erb; a sister, Gloria Huff; and his parents-in-law, Wilbur and Dorothy Werner.
