April 2, 1925 - Carroll Times - Mrs. Fred Belterman passed away at her home Saturday morning after being in poor health for some time. The cause of her death was pneumonia.

Mrs. Belterman before her marriage was Miss Adeline Jensen of Germany, and was born in that country March 16, 1845. She was married to Mr Belterman in the old country and 45 years ago the family came to Carroll, locating at the place of their present residence on North West street, this city.

Of the eleven children born to this estimable couple but one survives, Mrs. Elsie Burwell of Boone. Mrs. Belterman had not been in good health for a number of years, but when in her active years, was much interested in the progress of S.S. Peter and Paul's church, of which she was a devout member.

Funeral services were held at the church Monday morning, Rev. Fr. Dries officiating. The pallbearers were David Rettenmaier, Conrad Meis, A.C. Manneman, August Heithoff, Stephan Wenlow and Joe Pittman.

She is survived by her husband and daughter. Out of town relatives and friends at the funeral were Mrs. Burwell and daughter, Mrs. Stella Reinhart and son of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Beyer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Simon and family of Halbur, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Simons of Algona, Mrs. James Taylor and Grant and Kenneth Jackson of Boone.
