Mrs. Barney Puttmann died Monday after an illness of only a week. She is the mother of eight daughters and four sons, all of whom survive to mourn her loss. A pathetic coincidence connected with her death is the fact that she died on the 83rd birthday anniversay of her husband to whom she had been married 59 years. The cause of her death was chiefly old age. The Puttmanns have been residents of Roselle township 35 years, coming here from Winneshiek county. They have raised an excellent family all of whom are highly respected and most of them residing in this county. Mrs. Puttmann was the grandmother of 81 children, 64 of whom are living, 23 great grandchildren all of whom are living. The funeral services were held from Holy Angels church, this morning at 10 o'clock.
