Mr. Henry Timp, the venerable father of Mrs. B. Putmann [Puettmann] of Roselle township, died at the home of his daughter January 23, and was buried at the Hillsdale [Roselle] cemetery the 25th. Mr. Timp was born in Germany in 1800, and was a trifle past 88 years old. He came to America in 1845 and raised a large family, nearly all of whom are dead. He has lived in Mr. Putmann's family for seven years past, and had good health and unimpaired faculties to the last day. His death was from old age only, painless, quiet, peaceful. A good man gone, let us believe, to a generous reward.
