Sept 22, 1903 - Carroll Sentinel - Saturday at Albion, Neb., occurred the death of Mrs. Frank O'Brien, the immediate cause being consumption. The O'Briens made Carroll their home for many years, during which they made many friends, but three years ago they were compelled to go to Nebraska on account of Mrs. O'Brien's health. Her daughter Winnie remained with her and Mr. O'Brien and Frank returned to Carroll sometime ago and again took charge of the City Hotel, which they had conducted so long previous to going to Nebraska.
Mr. O'Brien and children have been at Albion the past few weeks caring for Mrs. O'Brien. The evening before her death she sat up in bed and talked as usual, but the next morning was found dead. The remains were brought here last night and funeral services were held at the City hotel this afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Jordan of the Presbyterian church officiating.
Mrs. O'Brien having been a member of this church since the year 1891. Two brothers, Henry and Mel Mosher of Lake City, and two nieces, Pearl Bunting and Mrs. R.T. Toepfer, also of Lake City, attended the funeral, besides a large number of friends of the family, who unite with the bereaved relatives in mourning her demise.
