Dec 12, 1985 - Carroll Daily Times - Hemet, Calif. - Merton LeRoy Holley, 95, of Hemet, formerly of Carroll, died Wednesday, December 11, at Pamona, Calif. He was a retired piano tuner, the last of a long time Carroll County pioneer family. All were piano tuners. Funeral service will be held in California. Another service will be held in Carroll at a later date and burial will be in Carroll under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home.

Mr. Holley is survived by a son, David Holley, Hemet, Calif.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Holley was born at Atlantic, Iowa, on July 2, 1890, and was married to Helen Parks at Carroll. He served with the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a member of the Episcopal church and the American Legion.
