July 7, 2000 - Carroll Times - Violette L. Rose, 94, of Carroll died today, Friday, July 7, 2000, at Carroll Health Center nursing home in Carroll. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor Charles Haake of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Carroll City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday, July 9, at the Funeral home.

Born April 24, 1906, at Ida Grove, she was a daughter of Earl and LuLu (Lainson) Holley. She attended Carroll Schools. She married Walter Rose on March 20, 1924, at Minneapolis, Minn. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She had lived at the Health Center since April 2, 1991.

Mrs. Rose is survived by two daughters, Virginia Solon and her husband, Lindy, of Lockport, Illinois, and Victoria Barth and her husband, Roger, of Chaska, Minn,; a son, Don Rose, and his wife, Diane, of Campbell, Calif.; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Stanley Lainson of Arlington, Ky., and Mrs. Lawrence Holley of Glidden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, on Oct. 20, 1992; a daughter, Pamela; three brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence and Dwight Holley; and a sister, Eunice Adams.
