Sept 11, 1924 - Carroll Times - Funeral services for Mrs. N.W. Osborn of Terrill, Ia., were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev Howe, pastor of the Methodist church in Terrill, who was assisted by Rev Ellas Handy, pastor of the First Methodist church of this city. Mrs Osborn died at the Terrill hospital Saturday, September 6, after under going a critical appendicitis operation. She was taken sick Saturday August 30.

Mrs. Osborn before her marriage was Miss Anna Orcutt Dutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dutton now of Los Angeles, Cal., but former residents of Carroll county and of the Beulah neighborhood. She was married in Des Moines about 20 years ago to Mr. Osborn. After the marriage they resided in Carroll county for a number of years but of late years have been living near Terrill, where she was a member of the Methodist church and took an active part in the affairs of that congregation. She was an excellent woman and was greatly loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Gerald and Duane. She is also survived by her parents of Los Angeles, Cal.; Thomas Dutton, Jr.; Catherine Dutton, Rilla Dutton Smith, and Dolly Dutton Anson, all of California. Her two sisters, Miss Catherine and Mrs. Dolly Dutton Anson hastened to her bedside when the family was advised of her condition and arrived a few hours before the sister's death.
