June 10, 1952 - Carroll Daily Times - Adolph Liechti, 80, who moved to Wall Lake from Carroll three months ago, died about 3:30 yesterday afternoon while operating a tractor on the Herbert Passick farm seven miles southwest of Sac City. According to Dr. W.I. Evans of Sac City, Sac county coroner, death was caused by a heart attack.

Mr. Liechti, who was helping fill a trench silo, was driving behind Mr. Passick, who was on another tractor. When Mr. Liechti was stricken, the tractor overturned, crushing him under it. The body is at the Huffman Funeral home here, awaiting completion of arrangements.

Mr Liechti was born Aug. 28, 1871, in Berne, Switzerland. When he was two years old, he came to the United States with his parents, John and Carolina Liechti, who settled on a Carroll county farm east of Arcadia. Mr. Liechti lived on this farm with his sister, Amalie, until 1921, when they retired and moved into the residence at 618 West Ninth street, Carroll. After his sisters death in March 1950, Mr. Liechti lived in the home until March 1952, when he sold it and moved to Wall Lake.

Besides his parents and sister, Amalie, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charley, John, and Ernest, and two sisters, Emma and Mrs. Bertha Glanzman.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ida Micheel, Arcadia, and two brothers, Hugo Liechti, Nemaha, and Otto Liechti, Arcadia, and many other relatives. He had been a member of Signet Lodge No. 264, A.F. & A.M., Carroll, for the last 13 years.
