Dec 5, 1907 - Carroll Times - On last Thursday, members of the Henry Kramer family were notified of the death of George Kramer at the Edmundson Memorial hospital in Council Bluffs. He had been sick with pneumonia but was again able to be about. On Monday, however, he suffered a relapse, and Mr. Kramer was called to his bedside. The second attack proved fatal and he passed away at 8:25 on Thanksgiving morning, his father, who had remained there, being with him when he died.

George W. Kramer was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kramer. He was born in Ornigsbury, Pa., on October 6, 1877, and was therefore 30 years, 1 month, and 22 days old at the time of his death. When three years of age he removed with his parents to this city, where he grew to manhood. He had been working at the carpenter trade with his father for some time, but had been employed in Council Bluffs since last June.

The remains were brought here last Friday and were taken to the parental home in the third ward. Departed leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, one brother, Albert Kramer of this city, and five sisters, as follows: Mrs. Mike Fitzgibbons, Mo. Valley, Ia.; Miss Mary Kramer, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Earl Fothergill, Council Bluffs, Ia,; Mrs. J.S. Nelson, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Miss Lizzie Kramer, Gregory, S.D., all being present to attend the funeral. The funeral services took place at the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Fraternal Order of Eagles having charge, deceased being a member of the order, the firemen and turners were also in attendance.

Geo. Kramer was an upright industrious young man, universally liked, and the news of his death came as a shock to the whole community. The Times joins the large circle of friends in offering sympathy to the bereaved family.
