April 11, 1970 - Carroll Daily Times - Myrtle Lenore Walden, 85, of 914 1/2 North Carroll Street, Carroll, died at St. Anthony Hospital Saturday, May 9, after a long illness. She had been employed as secretary to the late J.A. Dougherty for over 50 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Episcopal Church, with the vicar, the Rev. Theodore H. Kampman, officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home, conducted by Fr. Kampman.

Miss Walden was born in Clinton Nov. 13, 1884, a daughter of William Joseph and Lucey E. Manville Walden. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Carroll Watanye Club, business and professional women's service organization.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ethel Forbes of Walnut, several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were two brothers, George and Will Walden.
