Jan 3, 1933 - Carroll Daily - Funeral rites for W.J. Walden were held yesterday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral home. The service was conducted by Rev W Ernest Stockley of Ft Dodge, rector of Trinity Episcopal church who, while he was rector at Clinton, performed the last rites for Mrs. Walden's mother and a brother.

A quartet composed of Mrs. Romayne E Huffman, Miss Aimee B Hodge, Clyde M Bayliss, and Dr E.W. Martin sang "On the Resurrection." They were accompanied by Mrs Kenneth Holley. Burial was made in the family lot in the city cemetery. The pallbearers were E.C. Bone, J.P. Minchen, E.B. Thompson; Ralph Maclean, Henry J Conway, and D.W. Quinn.

Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. W.N. Walden and son Billy of Des Moines; Mr and Mrs J.W. Forbes, Miss Emma and Newell Forbes of Walnut; Albert Walden of Clinton; J.W. Forbes jr, Mr and Mrs Ward Coburn, Mrs David Jones, and Mr and Mrs Dan Soesbee, all of Des Moines.
