Nov 14, 1951 - Carroll Daily Times - Ralston — Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the United Brethren church in Ralston for Charles H. Caywood, retired farmer, who died last Tuesday night at the age of 75 years. The Rev. C.E. Kissinger officiated. Mrs. Hubert Knight and Raymond Watt sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," with Mrs. Elsie Ratzlaif at the piano. Burial was in Dillavou cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernest Bennett, Henry Jordan, Owen Nesbitt, A.W. Wright, Dave Waling, and Harry Graves.

Mr. Caywood, son of John and Sarah McNabb Caywood, was born March 2, 1876, at Delta, Ia. He came to Scranton with his parents at the age of 12 years and had lived in this vicinity since that time. He operated a farm north of Ralston until 1946, when he moved to Ralston. Mr. Caywood was married to Mary Conway of Boone, Oct. 25, 1896. Three sons and one daughter were born to them: Ray, Ralston; Lloyd, Scranton; Roy, Boone; and Mrs. William (Golda) Beidler, Carroll.

Surviving with his widow and children are a brother, William Caywood, Jefferson; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Castle, Monterey, Calif.; and Mrs. Mary Schresaw, LeMars; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Minnie, and brother, John.
