Sept 1907 - Carroll Times - Mrs Anna M. Timmermans, mother of Joseph and Martin Timmermans of Carroll township, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Gross, at one o'clock last Friday morning. The immediate cause of her death was cholera morbus, her frail strength being unequal to meet the attack.

Departed, Anna M. Fehring, was born at Emsburen, Prov. Hanover, Germany, Oct. 22, 1831. She came to America in 1868 and was married to Jacob Timmermans, at Menominee, Wis., Feb. 2, 1869. After a short residence at Dickeyville, Wis., they came to Carroll county in the same year, 1869, settling in Kniest township. They continued to reside there until 1890, when they sold their farm and removed to one they bought in Carroll townshjp. The husband died in 1892 and since then the mother lived with her children, for the past five years making her home with her daughter aforesaid.

The two sons and the daughter above mentioned are her sole surviving relatives, except two sisters, Mrs. Mary Remker, of Louisburg, Wis., who arrived Sunday to attend the funeral, and Mrs. Herman Reiff of this city. The solemn obsequies, following a requiem High mass, took place Monday at SS. Peter and Paul's church of this city, attended by large numbers of friends and neighbors, who held departed and her family in high esteem.
