Wilda Mae Harms 1889-1962

August 2, 1962 - Carroll Daily Times - Lanesboro — Funeral services for Mrs. Wilda Harms, 72, Lanesboro, were held July 26 at 2 p.m. at the Lanesboro Community Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Viney officiated. Pallbearers were Jerry Harms, Jack Harms, Kenneth Harms, Joe Harms, Douglas Harms, and Henry Kohnke. Burial, in charge of the Huffman Memorial Chapel of Lake City, was in Westlawn Cemetery at Glidden.

Mrs. Harms was the former Wilda Mae Longman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Sam Longman. She was born near Bayard, Dec. 29, 1889. In 1907 she married Herman Harms of Carroll. They lived in the vicinity of Lidderdale and Carroll and Mr. Harms died July 21 1942. Mrs. Harms then moved to the Lanesboro community. She was a member of the Lanesboro Community Methodist Church.

Her husband, one son, George, parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

She is survived by six children; Mrs. Viola Borgan, LaVern, Herman, Paul, John, and Carl Harms, all of Lanesboro; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral services were from Clarion, Estherville, and Independence, Mo.
