Oct 31, 1967 - Carroll Daily Times - Albert Frederick Lauer, 61, of 318 South 16th Street, Omaha, Neb., formerly of Carroll, died about 3 a.m. Oct. 20 in Omaha. Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, with burial in the Carroll City Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin J. Ludwig, pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, Glidden. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Lauer was a carpenter. He was born Sept. 15, 1906, at Reinbeck, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lauer. His marriage to Florence Subbert took place in Carroll in June, 1932.

During World War II he served in the Navy with the Seabees. Leaving Carroll in 1939, he lived at Waterloo most of the time until moving to Omaha five years ago. His wife died in June, 1944. He was affiliated with the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, the Rev. James P. Lauer of Blue Earth, Minn., and Allen Lauer, Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Hada Rudnick, Audubon; Mrs. Emma Dietrich, Hudson; Mrs. Louise Schmidt and Mrs Agnes Monter, Waterloo.
